Wonderbolt Academy told entirely in rhyme.

To start out this one they're enjoying a meal,

while Pinkie hops around with no shortage of zeal.

They take the time to spout some exposition,

as they all await Rainbow Dash's admission.

To the Wonderbolts Academy she has applied,

and we hear how she's awesome before an answer they provide.

At first she reports that she's been rejected,

before revealing the lie and saying she's been selected!

RD soon leaves to the Wonderbolt unknown,

and Pinkie calls out with a giant megaphone.

After the op'ning we look to the skies,

where into the camp Rainbow Dash now flies.

The new recruits end up all forming a line,

before Spitfire does her best to get them to resign.

She goes up to Rainbow and implies that she'll quit,

RD refutes her; to this she'll commit.

Back to Spitfire the final pony in the line snaps,

and to prove herself they all do five hundred laps.

Rainbow begins racing this new pegasi,

and their race to 500 ends in a tie.

The duo land and Spitfire commends,

leading the pair to become rather fast friends.

We then flip back to Pinkie watching the mail,

and AJ just cannot get the pink mare to bail.

We then cut back to a machine that spins them around,

they're then to fly safely and land upon the ground.

The duo again blow away the rest,

With Lightning Dust even asking to ramp up the test.

However, RD soon gets some news that does sting,

She's not a lead pony; she's only the wing.

She goes and takes it up with Spitfire,

as to why she's a wing pony she has to inquire.

Spitfire reveals that Lighting pushes herself more,

and RD dejectedly slinks back to the corps.

We then jump forward to a new training day,

where they must find all the colored flags on display.

The winning pair finds one and goes into a dive,

and RD should be thankful she comes out alive.

She gets her wing clipped but onward Lightning presses,

And Spitfire's look makes her try to match past successes.

Back to Pinkie we go where she's quickly unraveling,

Before the others get an idea to go traveling.

They'll bring RD a package they made with much care,

That hopefully will remind her of her friends while she's there.

Flipping back to the camp we find an obstacle course,

One that should give trouble to each and every horse.

The duo start off and all's going great,

Before behind a slow pair they are soon forced to wait.

Lightning gets restless and knocks them out of the way,

and the pair soon finish without another delay.

However, Rainbow doesn't think what they did was right,

But Lightning feels no remorse for their plight.

Wonderbolts are supposed to be the best of them all,

If they were good fliers they'd recover from that fall.

The next contest involves turning the skies blue,

and yet again every other pony they completely outdo.

However, Lightning wants more than just simply winning,

and to blow away the competition the pair begin spinning.

They create a tornado but can't keep it on track,

And Twilight Sparkle's balloon it begins to attack.

Rainbow Dash looks on in horror as they descend

before springing into action; her error she must mend!

She does this by creating a very dense cloud,

which sends them right into the arms of the pegasi crowd.

Fluttershy acts cute and they're all quite relieved,

before Lighting shows up and Rainbow gets peeved.

Her friends could have died and she wants a hoof-bump?

No, Rainbow's ready to get out of this dump.

She goes to Spitfire and begins to complain,

A Wonderbolt must be daring, but discipline must reign.

Spitfire is taken aback by her stance,

But RD is finished with this song and dance.

She lays down her pin and out she does stride,

before Spitfire can even open her mouth to chide.

RD packs up and gets ready to leave,

But Spitfire confronts her about what she does believe.

She agrees; for a Wonderbolt these beliefs are quite vital,

and for that she has Lightning stripped of her title.

Rainbow's now the leader and to the ground her bags drop,

as she returns to being the cream of the flying crop.

Pinkie shouts out that the care package she forgot,

and she ends up stuck with the box that she brought.

And so ends another great S3 episode,

Here's hoping the quality doesn't start to erode!
