This ep begins with a mare in a cloak,

Through the back alleyways the rain it does soak.

The enigmatic mare soon comes to a shop,

run by a stallion with a Chinese type top.

When asks what he can do for them this night,

the figure points to an object gleaming bright.

A powerful object is this amulet,

and if this pony wants it they'll incur a great debt.

But with a bag of bits thrown on to the table,

we're greeted with a smile that is most unstable.

We then cut to Fluttershy who is having the jitters,

as Twilight casts some spells on her animal critters.

Twi makes them fly in a pattern of infinity,

while Spike keeps boasting of her magic affinity.

However, not all is well back in the town,

as Rarity is soon saddled in an unseemly gown.

Twilight steps in and demands a cease-fire,

as the mare finally removes her villainous attire.

Rainbow tries to stop the mare's swath,

But ends up as a shout out to one Sephiroth.

Snips and Snails appear but they are met with scorn,

with but one spell they're attached at the horn.

Trixie has come to settle her score,

and face off against Twilight Sparkle once more.

Twilight decides from the duel she'll abstain,

So Trixie continues with her wicked campaign.

She picks up poor Spike and turns him into a ball,

She then shoots (and she scores) in front of them all.

Twilight then asks why she's doing all this,

When Trixie then shows how her life's been amiss.

She tells a tale of her very own fall from glory,

Getting laughed out of towns and ending up in a quarry.

Pinkie rebukes her and is hit with a spell,

As Trixie removes her ability to yell.

Trixie then flips the Golden Oaks library,

While Owlowiscious does his best to find some books he can carry.

Twilight looks on as her friends cry and moan,

Before she finally confronts Trixie all on her own.

The two then face off and Trixie says "Draw!",

Before throwing a cart at ponies looking on in awe.

One of the ponies trips and gives The Wilhelm Scream,

While Twi catches the cart and foils Trixie's cheap scheme.

Trixie then sends some pie towards Twi's face,

But she summons a parasprite (that she soon must erase).

Trixie then covers the town in a blanket of snow,

but Twi melts it off with a pulsating glow.

Twi then gives Trixie a nice new mustache,

Before being punished for an action so brash.

Snips and Snails are called over and Trixie changes their age,

Twilight is astounded; she's not seen this on any page!

Trixie asks Twi if she that she can replicate,

Twi tries and she fails, thus sealing her fate.

She's cast out of the town (now encased in glass),

and she must leave the others for Trixie to harass.

Twilight must now put aside her disgrace,

and seeking more knowledge she heads to my place.

I consoled her, for though out of town she'd been plucked,

She could take down Trixie if I was to instruct.

Back in the town Trixie's put the others to work,

She's acting as a tyrant and being quite a jerk.

With feathers she tickles AJ into submission,

While they all bemoan working for the powerful magician.

Back at the training we're referencing Dagobah,

As Twi's desire to face Trixie proves to be a great flaw.

We soon see Trixie has defaced the buildings and the town square,

The others go to the library.  Perhaps they'll find answers there?

Fluttershy finds a book that contains what they need,

But the others ignore her 'till Spike takes a read.

They decide Fluttershy is their only option remaining,

though her fear the poor mare is barely constraining.

We then cut to Trixie sitting there on her throne,

Snips and Snails pull her 'round the occupied zone.

They come across beavers who need the barrier down,

Trixie complies, albeit with a frown.

They take their log with them and out pops Fluttershy,

as we're reminded that her cuteness is in no short supply.

She gets to my abode and tells us her information,

and I find a new plan must come into formation.

Twilight can't compete with that kind of artifact,

So we found a better solution for when we finally attacked.

The next day we strode up and called Trixie out,

and with my "special amulet" we caused her to doubt.

And the rematch was set between the two,

We soon would see who had the better kung fu.

Trixie ages Snips and Snails as before,

While for two of her friends' help Twilight does implore.

Rarity and AJ are both turned into foals,

Using magic far beyond what she learned in her scrolls.

Trixie is unaffected until she makes AJ old,

Of what magic has Twilight taken a hold?

For her next trick she duplicates Rainbow,

Both of them fly around while Twi gloats to her foe.

Trixie begins to really start flailing,

when Pinkie plays ten instruments without even inhaling.

Trixie is floundering and yelling how this cannot be,

Before Twilight then invokes internet rule 63.

Trixie then decides her magic is bereft,

so she takes Twi's amulet through telekinetic theft.

She replaces her own and enjoys an evil laugh,

When RD swoops in and makes her pay for that gaffe.

Twilight then reveals the amulet is a fake,

as it falls to the ground and proceeds to then break.

She reveals the plan to her and it finally clicks,

It wasn't magic at all!  Just a few lowly tricks.

The ponies then cheer and away slinks the proud,

as Twilight then preforms in front of a crowd.

In the stands there are two horses that look surprisingly real,

When Trixie talks to her about the regret she does feel.

Twilight forgives her and Trixie runs away,

Will she return ever again?  Only the writers can say.

And so we wrap up this magnificent episode,

It made me so happy that I just might explode!
The Magic Duel featuring Trixie once more,

In no way, shape, or form was this episode a bore!

What's inernet rule 63?
Rhyming-Zecora Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2012
One character is real and one's a pretender,

The difference between them is only that of gender.

For any character there exists it's counterpart,

You can find all sorts of examples here on DeviantArt.

I couple of syllabic misteps, but pretty awesome overall.

I know some of the rhymes tended to get away,

But I hoped to release it on the airing day.

Next time I think I'll have to slow down a bit,

and read it a few times before I submit.

I'll rate your endeavour as a great success.
Rhyming-Zecora Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2012
Thank you Tobias, I appreciate that,

Every zebra likes knowing their work has not fallen flat.

It seems like you too have some skill with the prose,

Perhaps one day you too can start rhyming these shows!

:) very nice, I wish there were more comments to account for this clever tale.
Rhyming-Zecora Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2012
As much as I wish people would comment and critique,

I'll just keep it as it is and not change my technique.

Thank you for the compliment, and stay tuned for more,

For there are other episodes that are still waiting in store!

Quite a good rhyme! Though the rhyme between flaw and Dagobah was a bit of a stretch I quite liked it!
